Backfire is a story of my Fire experiences and how fire strategies relate to everyday life. Starting fires to extinguish fires is dangerous but also effective.
Kennedy Seagrave is a retired Battalion Chief of the fire service with more than twenty-six years of experience in a metro fire department. She came to realize that many of the tactics used in firefighting could be helpful in fighting metaphorical fires in everyday life as well. Her book Backfire provides a series of practical strategy and problem-solving approaches that can be applied to anyone’s life, in a wide variety of circumstances. Backfire has many exciting fire examples from her career, but its also a self-help guide to problem-solving strategies for all people.
Each year, libraries and organizations around the world welcome local indie authors, writers, and their communities in for a day of education, networking, mingling, writing, open mics, panels, and so much more!
